You must register your IP address, if you intend to use one of the web applications. This can be done just before downloading. It is free to register, and we only need your IP address. This must be a fixed IP address. All the web applications will use one of the share price web services - SharePrices 4 Web (NET1.1) | Share Prices 4 Web (AJAX) | Share Prices 4 Web (XML) | Share Prices 4 Web (VisualWebGUI) | Silverlight 2 Share Prices 4 Web (Silverlight2)

Share Prices 4 Web (NET1.1) - this is a local live version Share Prices web application - (you can also download it from the free downloads section -its labelled 'Share Prices 4 Web(NET1.1)') - available a new version with data export to xml, and css support. Works in integrated application pool under IIS v7. Now includes find company option, option to change web service url, and the option to change the alternating row colour for the datagrid.Requires javascript enabled to view.

Share Prices 4 web (AJAX) - this is a local live version AJAX Share Prices web application - a free download can be obtained (its labelled 'Share Prices 4 Web(AJAX)' in the free downloads section.) New version available with column sorting and case insensitive search for a company function. Works in integrated application pool under IIS v7. Fixed enter key functionality on both text boxes, and that the enter key on each text box fires the related button. Also changed the green selection colour to yellow. Now with alternating row colours (which can be changed on screen) and the ability to change the web service url. Works in IE6/7,Google Chrome, and FireFox. Now fully Ajaxed, with features such as collapsible panels, autocomplete, and AjaxDataControls GridView.

Support:

When you are using any front-end for the share price web service, and you get an error saying unable to connect to the share price web service. However, if its a web application you need to check the web service url is pointing to http://www.webspecdevit.co.uk/WebServices3/NETSharePriceWS.asmx.

System requirements for web application:

Processor: That required by a windows pc.
Memory: That required by a windows pc .
Operating System: Windows 2000 Pro/Server/XP Pro(32/64)/Server 2003(32/64)/Vista Business(32/64)/Ultimate(32/64)/Server 2008(32/64).
IIS v5/6/7 for Web Application hosting.
.NET framework 1.1/2/3/3.5
Internet access, so as to connect to the web service.

Downloads:

Downloads are now in the free Share Price downloads section. The silverlight and ajax applications are not available for download.
